Our Pastoral Approach
Friendship, Identity and Belonging
Pastoral care at Sherborne Jeddah is built on one simple belief. Every child does better when they feel they belong. Our experienced team works alongside families to ensure each pupil has the relationships, routines and support they need to grow in confidence and character.
The House System
Pupils from all year groups come together within their House, creating a school family that extends beyond their classroom.
Inclusion & Safeguarding —
Meeting Every Child's Needs With Care & Expertise
We're committed to creating an inclusive environment where every pupil feels safe, supported, and able to participate fully in school life.
Inclusion —
We embrace every pupil's individual needs, ensuring our policies, curriculum, and teaching strategies reflect inclusive principles.
Our staff engage in ongoing professional development in inclusive practices, and we work closely with families to ensure the holistic needs of each pupil are met. At Sherborne Jeddah, inclusion is not an initiative—it is a mindset.
Safeguarding —
The safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. All staff receive regular safeguarding training and follow clear procedures to identify and respond to concerns promptly and appropriately.
Our Child Protection Officer, Mrs. Victoria McManus (Head of Inclusion), oversees safeguarding across the school. If you ever have a concern about a child's welfare, please contact the school immediately so we can act swiftly in the best interests of the child.
Living Our Values
The House System is where our Sherborne Values - respect, teamwork, responsibility, perseverance, honesty, and kindness are experienced daily. Through House activities, competitions, and celebrations, pupils learn what it means to support one another, work toward shared goals, and take pride in being part of something bigger than themselves.
