Exploration, discovery and creativity are at the heart of our EYFS provision as we begin to spark your child’s natural curiosity bringing literacy, numeracy, science, and humanities to life through exciting, hands-on experience and interactive learning.
Key Learning Areas —
Everything your child does in our EYFS classrooms from building with blocks to singing a counting song — is carefully designed to develop seven key areas that shape who they are becoming.
Three Prime Areas sit at the heart of everything: Communication and Language, Physical Development, and Personal, Social and Emotional Development. Once these foundations are in place, children build outwards into Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, Expressive Arts and Design.
No two days look the same in our EYFS. Alongside teacher led sessions, your child will have long, uninterrupted periods to follow their own curiosity, choosing what to explore. Our teachers work alongside them throughout, watching, listening and gently introducing new ideas at just the right moment. Outdoors, children learn through movement, discovery and fresh air.
We believe the deepest learning happens when children are happy, engaged and given the freedom to truly be themselves.
