Originally from the UK, Ms. Rachael Giles brings over 16 years of distinguished educational leadership experience across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East to her role as Executive Head of School at Sherborne School Jeddah. Her proven expertise in establishing new schools and strategic school improvement makes her uniquely positioned to set up our new school and guide it to exceptional heights.

Head of Prep School

Mr Joe Paget brings a wealth of global academic experience to his role as Founding Head of Sherborne Prep at Sherborne School Jeddah. Blending British tradition with innovation, his vision is to inspire intellectual curiosity, build character and cultivate confidence in his pupils.

Educated at Eton College, with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Canterbury Christ Church University and a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Bristol, Mr Paget brings leadership experience and a steadfast commitment to educational excellence gained through a career spanning prestigious schools across the UK, South America, Europe, and Asia.

Throughout his career, Mr Paget has championed a forward-thinking and holistic approach to education, placing innovation, co-curricular enrichment, and pupil wellbeing at the heart of his leadership. Most recently, as Headmaster of St Catherine’s British School in Athens, he fostered an inclusive and close-knit school community while embracing cutting-edge technologies to deliver a world-class educational experience.

A futurist and advocate for innovation, Mr Paget is dedicated to fostering meritocratic cultures that inspire creativity and a love for learning.

Outside of school life, Mr Paget enjoys playing cricket and golf and, now based in Jeddah with his wife Clara and young son, the family embrace the vibrant culture and opportunities the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has to offer.

Head of School Admistration

Abeer Dahlawi is a Saudi educational leader and entrepreneur with over 13 years of experience in international school administration and more than 6 years in cultural and artistic entrepreneurship. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from King Abdulaziz University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Jeddah International College, blending scientific knowledge with strategic business expertise.

She has held key leadership roles, including Primary and Special Education School Director, where she successfully restructured academic divisions, built comprehensive compliance systems with the Ministry of Education, and earned consecutive top ratings along with the Best International School Principal in Jeddah award.

 

Together, we can create a supportive and inspiring environment where our pupils not only achieve their full academic potential, but also grow into thoughtful, resilient, and globally-minded individuals.
